Revised CA Intermediate Syllabus

Topics That are Added in the Revised CA Intermediate Syllabus are:
Firstly, the Advanced accounting topic from paper 1 is now included in Paper 5. And, secondly, ICAI has added dissolution of partnership firm, piecemeal distribution, conversion of partnership firm into a company, and sale to a company which is an issue related to accounting in limited liability partnership.
Topics That are Removed from the CA Intermediate Syllabus are:
- Underwriting of Shares and Debentures
- Valuation of Goodwill,
- Financial Reporting of Insurance Companies and Mutual Funds and regulatory requirement thereof,
- And lastly, Application of Guidance Notes issued by the ICAI on the specified accounting aspects.
Changes made in Paper 4A Income Tax Law syllabus are:
- Computation of AMT included (in relation to section 35AD and 10AA) through study guidelines in the topic Computation of total income and tax liability of individuals.
