Colorful Cloths Are a Trend in Summer

Wearing colorful cloths is one of the biggest trends in kid’s fashion for the summer. This trend is inspired by many local runway fashion styles. That is why adults and children will find a lot of colorful clothing in their local stores. As the momentary fashion of the runways dictates, most colorful outfits are often mixed with white garments: this means that it is totally fashionable to wear colorful outfits, but we are expected to combine them with at least white clothes. I fully support this for adult fashion, but I think children can wear more colorful outfits than their parents. But when does it get too much? So I asked myself the question: When do too many colorful clothes look childish, even on children?

As mentioned above, the colorful children’s fashion trend comes from the adult runway fashion that was featured for the summer. Many designers who make kids clothes also have their own collections for adults, hence the parallels. Because it’s so trendy to be wearing colorful clothes this summer, we can put together very flashy outfits for our children. I looked at different types of colorful kidswear Pakistan and had a hard time figuring out where to draw the line in terms of coloring. Is it okay to have your child dress like a clown? No, definitely not. But the term “clown” doesn’t really have to do with the number of colors, rather with the combination of colors!

Take, for example, the two colors yellow and blue. Yellow and blue are considered a very childish combination because they are very different colors; blue is calm and reserved, while yellow is energetic and noticeable. In the summer of 2011, however, you can easily combine these two colors. Depending on how you combine blue and yellow in an outfit, your kid can really make a pretty clown impression. But consider this outfit instead: a blue tee with some kind of colorful logo, and yellow shorts. It’s not childish at all! In fact, it is very stylish and totally in fashion this year. Therefore, this season you can ask your child to use as many colors as you want, as long as the combination is right.

Since I am a fan of very colorful outfits, I really appreciate the current trend. While I totally agree with the fashion for adult runways, where they generally add white to any colorful outfit, I highly recommend parents to create colorful outfits for their kids without worrying about whether there is any. It has too many different colors or not. As I just tried to explain above, it is just a matter of combination. The truth for the summer of 2011 is that you can combine all the colors in your children’s outfits, as long as you make the correct combinations. I hope you enjoy this trend as much as I do!
