PUBG fans in India might soon receive some excellent news . If a couple of recent media reports and speculations within the gaming circles are to be believed, ‘PUBG Mobile India’ could also be launched today.

Hopes soared high on Monday when tons of buzz about the discharge date and relaunch of the sport had spread like wildfire on social media. However, there has been no confirmation yet.

But here are a couple of details about the potential release date and the way the sport has been modified specifically for Indian users-

The computer game company released new trailers and a corporation official, Maxtern claimed on Twitter that the sport might be launched on any day between January 15 to January 25.

New Avatar

According to revelations by game developers in mid-November, there are some major changes, specifically made for the Indian market. The new game are going to be available with features like fully dressed characters, less gory visuals, etc.

The new teasers of the sport are often seen on the PUBG Mobile India website and its official YouTube and Instagram pages.

Neck-to-neck Competition

Interestingly, FAUG (Fearless and United Guards) is India’s indigenously developed game that’s believed to possess captured the gaming market after PUBG was banned. FAUJ is scheduled to be released on Republic Day, i.e 26 January

Days after the govt ban, PUBG had announced that Chinese company Tencent Games would not be authorised to distribute the PUBG MOBILE franchise in India.

The controversy surrounding the sport

Previously in December, India’s apex child rights body NCPCR denied permission on grounds of human safety. The NCPCR during a meeting said it’s not in favour of recommending such games within the country, remarking the sport led to the loss of the many lives within the country.

The Indian government also cited national security concerns while banning the sport .
